Q. How does a group card work?

When you create a group and invite members, you can pool funds together. Pool EZ instantly issues a secure virtual card that can be added to Apple Pay or Google Pay. Group members can spend from the pooled balance according to the transaction approval rules you set.

Q. Is Pool EZ safe to use?

Yes, Pool EZ employs bank-grade security and encryption to protect your data and transactions. With secure approvals and real-time activity logging, no money can be spent without group consensus or admin oversight, preventing unauthorized charges.

Q. How do transaction approvals work?

You can customize spending guidelines in the app. For instance, you can require that transactions above a certain threshold must be approved by the group admin or a majority vote before the virtual card can be successfully charged.

Q. What payment methods are supported?

You can contribute to any active Pool EZ pool using standard Visa or Mastercard credit or debit cards, securely stored and processed in compliance with PCI standards.

Q. What's new in Pool EZ Checkout?

We recently launched Pool EZ Checkout, which enables e-commerce merchants to offer group checkout options directly in their online stores. Customers can choose "Pay with Pool EZ" to instantly create a session, split the order amount, and invite friends to pay their share before completion.

Q. Do you support tap-and-pay?

Yes! Our virtual group cards now fully support integration with Apple Pay and Google Pay, making it incredibly simple to pay for in-person shared expenses on trips, events, or restaurant dinners.

Q. Is receipt scanning available?

Yes, in our latest release, we added an OCR receipt scanner. Simply snap a photo of any receipt, and the app will automatically read, parse, and prompt you to split items among group members.

Q. What are the terms for creating a pool?

Users must be 18 years or older and comply with our terms of service. Pools must not be used for illicit activities. Active balances must follow the minimum thresholds specified in your plan tier.

Q. What are the fees?

Standard individual pools are free on the Pay As You Go tier. Merchant checkouts and advanced features on our Standard and Premium plans carry nominal transaction and subscription fees, which are transparently calculated and displayed before any pool is finalized.
